Devlog #14: What's next


Okay, now that I have some energy, I can talk about the new update and what comes next.


The new update was a huge content addition, with almost everything in the game getting touched somehow, along with a new super dungeon to explore. This mostly has to do with moving from RPGMaker MV to MZ. The new engine is fine, it comes with some QoL features that MV didn't have. I got MZ mostly for its plugins.

Vizustella plugins are pretty great, and the new system for plugin parameters is like a breath of fresh air. Most of the plugins right now are cosmetic/UI. None of them change the mechanics or systems of the game. I don't plan on changing much of the core mechanics right now, but that may change in the future.

The next update is gonna focus on side content, there'll be a new floor to the catacombs and a new side story. This will be alongside the usual bug fixing and text edits that every update comes with. This update will take a while, probably not as long as this update took but we'll see.

Honestly, this update feels way bigger to me than it actually is. Probably due to the engine change, and the 5 or so playtest playthroughs I did but it just feels that way. Anyways, that's were my current thoughts on the game are right now.
