Devlog #2
Hello! This one took a bit longer for a good reason. This update marks the beginning of large visual audio overhaul of ROTW. I've added some unique sprites to replace the pre packaged ones that came with RPGMakerMV. I only replaced a few key ones to enforce the visual style a bit better. ROTW takes place in Sthalgrave, which is a city that I want to be reminiscent of cities from the 1930s. The sci fi sprites kinda ruined this visual however, so I decided to replace some key sprites like cars, and street lights to get the 1930s vibe across better. I’ve tried my best to replace as many default assets as possible, like adding a custom icon set and battleback for the warehouse.
This update also includes new damage numbers, I would like to thank Skullsntikis for use of his flip clock font. I think it fits really well!
The audio side of this update is massive aswell. I'd like to talk about Devin chin and Miguel Lopez. I'm going to be using their audio for this update and I highly appreciated it.
I’m really not great at music, so I’m glad I finally reached out for some audio assets. It doesn’t help that RPGMakerMV’s catalogue of music, while pretty good, is quite small and lacks variation.
One last addition is the warehouse revisit! After clearing the warehouse you can talk to Lucile and revisit the warehouse to defeat a few miniboss like encounters and fight a suped up Gargoyle! I added this as a way for players to revisit Dungeons they had previously cleared out to acquire items they may missed on their first visit, and to grind if they wanted.

Now for the update notes! Honestly theres so much that breaking down note by note would take forever, so i’m just going add to some that might be a little vague.

Gameplay
-Shrunk beach (Similarly to the last update I decided to shrink the beach due to it being overly large.)
-Weapons can now be upgraded to +5
-removed difficulty select (I found the idea of the difficultly select more trouble than it was wort, especially when looking towards future additions.)

-Added some interactions to objects
-Added a locker to change the partys equipment outside of a dungeon
-Added a side mission where you revisit the warehouse
-Made tutorial fight easier

Bugfix/writing changes

-Lucile now has dialogue with the mall NPCs
-Various main story writing changes
-Improved the tutorials
-Added character profiles to the status menu (Kinda forgot this was even a thing in RPGMaker.)
-added a message to stop the player from spending resources on fully upgraded weapons (This was an oversight on my end. This resulted in the player spending resources on weapons that couldn’t be upgraded any higher. So I added a message to stop this.)
-Changed the text of the next objective item to lead the player a bit better
-Fixed an oversight where the player was able to sleep multiple times
-Made it impossible to upgrade weapons until beating the first mission to avoid a weapon dupe glitch
-Fixed chest text to match with the item received
So yeah thats the 0.2.5 update! Next update will probably just be some more art and visual changes but the next major update adding the 2nd dungeon is underway!
Thanks for reading!

Can't believe Mari's boss refuses to turn her into a wageslave.
I unfortunately haven't implemented late-stage capitalism yet
